The Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, located in Baku in the Republic of Azerbaijan, processes 21 of 24 grades of crude oil and 15 different petroleum products. It is named after Heydar Aliyev, the third president of Azerbaijan. The plant is owned and operated by the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
Modernisation of the installation would allow the refinery to process 7.5 million metric tons per year of blended crude oil from local sources and efficiently produce gasoline and diesel, jet fuel and asphalt while meeting the most stringent and demanding environmental standards.
For such a major high-profile installation, in addition to the ATEX CONTROL ENCLOSURES AND TERMINALS with certification for zones 1,2,21,22 in explosive atmospheres (ATEX), we must also pay attention to facility access control, operational issues that we sometimes neglect and which serve to ensure the integrity and safety of the facilities by being the first witness of who is present and who is not - a matter which becomes of vital importance in an emergency situation. In this case, we supplied 70 VIPEX model units, whose features include encrypted data control, the versatility of the systems with which it communicates and the interoperability of mapping systems.
